Foxcotte history
Foxcotte was a manor of some notability during and after the reign of William the Conqueror. The church was built in 1840 on the remains of, or in addition to an earlier medieval structure. The hamlet is today made up of “Foxcotte Farm”, the former Church (now a private house) and a thatched house to the north.

Bury Hill is the site of a former Iron Age hillfort about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) southwest of the centre of Andover, Hampshire. The site was used well into the Roman era and was used as a camp by King Canute in 1016. The banks and the ditch are apparently in good condition, although fairly heavily wooded. The centre is left to grass and very secluded, but is not accessible to the public.
