Exbury history
An Iron-Age promontory fort is visible on the east bank of the Beaulieu River. In the 13th century the Foliot family were holders of the Exbury in chief of the Crown. At the end of that century the manor had passed to Katherine Berkeley, who had married John Brewerton, and it then descended to the Comptons of Compton Wynyates, Warwickshire, who held it for two hundred years.

Fawley A.F.C.
Fawley Association Football Club is based in Fawley, near Southampton, in Hampshire. They are currently members of Wessex League Division One and play at the Waterside Sports & Social Club in Holbury.

Exbury House is situated in Exbury and Lepe, Hampshire, on the edge of the New Forest. The house consists of an 18th-century core which was redesigned and refaced in 1927. The gardens (see Exbury Gardens) were laid out by Lionel de Rothschild between 1919 and 1939.
