Essington was a township in the parish of Bushbury, with a post office and 187 houses. The population had risen from 644 in 1851 to 976 in 1861, “from the extension of mining operations” An iron church with room for 260 people had been built in 1858-1859.

Short Heath, Willenhall Short Heath is a village situated north of the market town of Willenhall, in the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall, West Midlands. The population of the ward is approximately 11,374, according to a mid-2018 ward-level population estimate published by the ONS. The area contains housing developments, several schools, and businesses and shops.

St Thomas’ Church, Wednesfield The Church of St Thomas is located in Wednesfield in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. It was originally consecrated in August 1750, as a chapel of ease of St. Peter’s Collegiate Church. It became a separate parish in 1849. The church was almost completely destroyed by fire on 18 January 1902. The tower is the only remaining part of the original building.

Hilton Hall Hilton Hall is an 18th-century mansion house now in use as an Office and Business Centre at Hilton, near Wolverhampton, in Staffordshire. It is a Grade I listed building.

Springhill, South Staffordshire Springhill is a hamlet about a mile from Essington village in the civil parish of Essington, in the South Staffordshire district. In 2019 it had an estimated population of 538.
