Broxted photo St Mary’s Church, Chickney
St Mary’s Church is a redundant Anglican church in the parish of Chickney, Essex. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. The church is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.
Broxted photo Horham Hall
Horham Hall may refer to the timber-framed late mediaeval hall in Thaxted, England or to the brick hall built in its place by Sir John Cutte (d. 1520) in the early 16th century. The original hall was a timber-frameed moated moated manor house circa 1470 but it was largely demolished in succeeding centuries. The house was visited by Elizabeth I both as a princess and twice as Queen (1571 and 1578)
