Arundel geography / climate

Arundel town is a major bridging point over the River Arun as it was the lowest road bridge until the opening of the Littlehampton swing bridge in 1908. Castle was built by the Normans to protect that vulnerable fairly wooded plain to the north of the valley through the South Downs. The Monarch’s Way long-distance footpath passes through the town and crosses the river.

Wick F.C. Wick Football Club is a football club based in Wick, near Littlehampton, England. Wick joined the Sussex County League Division Two in 1964. In the 1998–99 season, they reached the 4th round of the FA Vase.

Burpham Burpham is a rural village and civil parish in the Arun District of West Sussex. The village is on an arm of the River Arun slightly less than 2 miles (3.2 km) northeast of Arundel. A slight minority of the population qualifies as within the working age.
