HM Prison Acklington HMP Acklington was the most northerly adult prison in England. It was built on the site of the former RAF Acklington airfield. In 2011 it was merged into the newly named HM Prison Northumberland.

HM Prison Northumberland HM Prison Northumberland is a Category C men’s prison. It is located in Morpeth near the village of Acklington, Northumberlands. It has been operated by private prison firm Sodexo Justice Services since 2013.

HM Prison Castington HM Prison Castington was a male juvenile’s prison and Young Offenders Institution. It was built on the site of the former RAF Acklington airfield. In 2011 the facility was merged into the newly named HM Prison Northumberland.

Broomhill, Northumberland Broomhill lies to the south-west of Amble, a short distance inland from the North Sea. It lies on the border of two districts: Morpeth (the county town of Northumberland) and Alnwick.

Togston Togston is a settlement and civil parish about 10 miles from Morpeth in Northumberland. In 2011 the parish had a population of 315. The parish touches Acklington, Amble By the Sea, East Chevington and Hauxley.
