Abergwyngregyn history
Abergwyngregyn is a settlement of great antiquity and pre-conquest importance on the north coast of Gwynedd. Its boundaries stretch from the Menai Strait up to the headwaters of the Afon Goch and Afon Anafon. It controlled the ancient crossing point of the Lafan Sands to Anglesey. This was the seat of Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, the last native Prince of Wales, whose daughter Gwenllian of Wales was born here in June 1282.

Y Mŵd is circular, 22-foot (6.7 m) high with a level oval top 57 feet (17 m) by 48 feet (15 m) It has been regarded as the base of a Norman castle. E. S. Armitage suggested that it might have been constructed by Hugh d’Avranches, Earl of Chester.

Battle of Y Dalar Hir
The Battle of Y Dalar Hir took place on 5 June 1648 in Caernarfonshire, North Wales, during the Second English Civil War. Leading Welsh Royalist Sir John Owen of Clenennau mustered a group of 250-300 cavalry and foot in an attempt to raise North Wales in rebellion against Parliament.
Seisyllwg
Seisyllwg was a petty kingdom of medieval Wales. It is unclear when it emerged as a distinct unit, but according to later sources it consisted of the former Kingdom of Ceredigion plus the region known as Ystrad Tywi. It was the centre of power for Hywel Dda, who came to rule most of Wales.
Powys Wenwynwyn
The realm was the southern portion of the former princely state of Powys which split following the death of Madog ap Maredudd in 1160. The northern portion (Maelor) went to Gruffydd Maelor and eventually became known as Powys Fadog. The southern portion (Cyfeiliog) became Powys Wenwynwynwyn after Prince Gwenwynwyn ab Owain, its second ruler.
