Whitestone, Warwickshire history
The area takes its name from “The White Stone”, a former milestone or guide post. Until well into the 1920s, the area was largely undeveloped. Nuneaton Golf Club was established in the area in 1905, originally as a nine-hole course. Quarry Farm (and later Quarry Lane) was built next to Attleborough Quarries.
