Blacklow Hill
Blacklow Hill is found to the south of the village, close to the A46 (Warwick bypass) Its name comes from the fact the trees that partly cover it are very dark and the Anglo-Saxon hlaew (burial mound) In 1971 an archaeological team found flints and hunting tools from the early Mesolithic period, around 9,000BC.
Railway bridge collapse
The railway bridge collapsed in a railway accident on 11 June 1861. The driver and fireman were killed in the accident on the Coventry to Leamington Line.
