Church and chapel
Heckington Grade I listed Anglican parish church is dedicated to St Andrew. It is of cruciform plan and in a complete Decorated style. The steeple is from 1360–70; it was rebuilt in 1888 as part of a restoration. The tall spire of the church reaches 176 feet (54 metres) high.
Windmill
Nearly 1,000-year-old village is best known for its windmill of the same name. It is the only 8-sailed example of its type still standing in the UK and Europe. RAF GR7 Harrier ZD430 of 3 Squadron crashed south-west of the village in 1993.
