Grimsargh history


The name Grimsargh is said to derive from an Old Norse name Grímr with Norse erg. Oliver Cromwell’s Roundhead army came through the village on 17 August 1648. St Michael’s Church is in sandstone with slate roofs and consists of a nave, a north aisle, a chancel, a vestry, and a west tower.
