Glamis history
Glamis was declared a burgh of barony by James IV in 1491. The last Alpínid king of Scotland, Malcolm II, died there in 1034. The humorous poet Agnes Lyon lived in the town. The location of a flax spinning mill in 1818 was leased by William Baxter.
