About Skelton-on-Ure
Skelton-on-Ure is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire. It is situated 1.9 miles (3 km) west of Boroughbridge, near the A1(M) motorway. The main entrance to Newby Hall Estate is situated at the south end of the village. It was used as a location in Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park in 2007.
