About Penrhys
Penrhys is a village in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. It is situated on a hillside overlooking both valleys of Rhondsda Fawr and Rhondada Fach. Until the late 16th century it was one of the holiest sites for Christian pilgrims in Wales. In 1538 the shrine was destroyed during the English Reformation.
