About Mortonhall
Mortonhall is an area of Edinburgh, Scotland, on the south edge of the city. The area was the estate of Mortonhall House, a fine country mansion house of 1769. It is perhaps best known for the Mortonhall Crematorium, designed by Sir Basil Spence, which is considered to be an outstanding example of Scottish modern architecture.
