About Lastingham
Lastingham is on the southern fringe of the North York Moors, 5 miles (8 km) north-east of Kirkbymoorside. It was home to the early missionaries to the Angles, St. Cedd and St. Chad. At the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 96, increasing to 233 at the 2011 Census.
