About Hilcote
Hilcote is a former mining village in the Bolsover district in Derbyshire. The village is located close to the A38 junction with the M1 (Junction 28) There are about 200 houses in the village with approximately 350 residents. ‘B’ Winning pit was named after the seam of coal being mined from Blackwell Colliery.
