About Broughton, Lancashire
Broughton is a village and civil parish in the City of Preston, Lancashire. It is approximately 4 miles (6 km) north of Preston city centre. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 1,735. In 1974 the parish became part of the Borough of Preston which became a city in 2002.
